First Week At The MTC
Hello Beautiful People!,
Sorry if you have been sent this twice, it has been brought to my attention that the email did not include everyone and there were some technical issues so I hope it works this time.
This is my first email as a missionary! I hope this email gets sent out correctly and if there is someone that you want to add to the list please email me back with that person's email you would like to add.
Today wraps up my first week at the MTC! This past week has been such a unique and overwhelmingly amazing experience. Before all the zoom classes, I had very low expectations and was honestly disappointed to hear that my first MTC week would be online, but I was totally unprepared for the many blessings and amazing experiences that would come my way. For starters my companion is in my ward which is way cool. My district (15-E) are such cool people and I'm more than excited to see them in person. And I have already made tons of new friends just by talking to them on zoom and Facebook. (Feel free to add me on there as well ;) Joshua Jenkins) The spirit has been so strong and I haven't felt this much peace and happiness in such a long time. I am trying to enjoy every last second of it.
Teaching has also come very natural for me. Elder Terry and I have been knocking it out of the park teaching non members. It has been so great to feel the savior's love for me and to know that he does have a plan for me. I am looking forward to expanding my learning and having even more experiences as I continue training and serving. Zoom classes have been so long and it is definitely a grind to sit through them all day, but it has been so rewarding. One thing I have noticed is that when I put my head down and lose myself in the work, all my worries and thoughts are gone and it's so much easier to be in tune with the spirit. I love getting up and having a reason to work all day everyday, it has really helped me grow and learn more about myself and to be willing to give it my all. While it's not easy to get used to and adjust to things, giving it all my effort makes it a lot more manageable.
I really don't have a whole lot more to say about this week other than it was amazing and I will be so excited to leave tomorrow morning for the Provo MTC! Below are some pictures ( I did not take very many unfortunately) of some of my experiences in the online MTC. I will leave this with my testimony that I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us each individually and know our wants and needs. Heavenly Father has a plan for us. All things are possible through them. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
