Week 1 In Person MTC

Hello you amazing people!

Today is my P day and also my 1 week mark (sort of) here at the Provo MTC. It was so hard to leave so much behind and think about being in Texas for 2 years of my life by myself but I know that I am going to be blessed because of it. The MTC has been such a great and unique experience. I have never felt the spirit be with me more strongly everyday than I have here at the MTC. My district has been so fun and definitely makes the hard days go by a lot better and faster. The hardest part has probably been the food that destroys my internal organs, and getting up in the morning. Every single morning I wake up feeling so tired and miserable, but as the day goes on I feel so much better and genuinely happy. It has been so cool to hear some amazing testimonies of the members in my district while still having that balance of having tons of fun. The people that I have around me are all great people wanting to do the right thing and work hard which has helped me not miss home as much and focus on my purpose as a missionary. Some cool experiences I have had were going to the Temple, destroying other districts in kick ball and spike ball, and bonding with my new family here at the MTC. I have loved learning new things and getting to know more about people, it has really helped me know and understand that God truly does love each of us. I am sorry that I don't really have much more to say but I will close with my testimony. I know that we have a purpose here on this earth and that God really does love us and have a plan for us. I know that through serving and helping others, they can feel the saviors love for them and we can also be blessed. I know that as a missionary I was called to preach to people that are looking for an experience to learn of these great truths, and I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love your boy, Elder Jenkins.
