Tarantula Takeover

Hey yall 


    This week has been a great week! And I just wanted to say again that I'm sorry if I can't or don't respond to your email because I am always busy so I don't have a lot of time to respond! But this week was so far the most "normal" out of the weeks I've had so far. We tried to stay busy and got a lot done and were able to go to some cool places.


     I regret to inform yall that I did not have any member dinners this week so I don't have any interesting stories sadly. I kinda rely on member dinners for experiences (kinda but not really lol) but they always provide some fun memories. This week however we were able to go to the lubbock temple which was awesome. We took a recent convert Evelyn to do a  baptism for her husband who passed away recently. She was so grateful and happy that she got to go and that we were able to pass on the gospel to her husband that is in heaven. Super lit. We also had an 8 year old kid get baptized on Sunday and I had to give a talk so it was a really good baptism all thanks to me (not actually me) later that night we were trying to escape the church but the biggest spider I've ever seen in my life was threatening our ankles so we had to murder it for the greater good. But other than that my week didn't really consist of anything else. 


     I love you all and appreciate the support so much it really helps me stay motivated and keep pushing through. It's been hard to stay motivated recently but I try to take it day by day and get lost in the work because it helps me forget about myself. I love this gospel and I love seeing people learn and grow from it as well. People are in the darkest parts of their life's and have been through so much but the light of jesus christ always shines through the darkness. Anyways thanks again and I'll work harder to get more stories. I put myself on the line and in the sketchiest craziest places to try and get good experiences and lessons that I will remember. Hopefully I don't die but that would be a cool story too (just kidding mom) but I just wanted to add some humor to show that I'm giving it my all and I'm trying to get the most out of it.

A Good Week

Hey!        It hasn't been that long since we last talked! All is well here in Hobbs America. My new companion elder Hepworth is really cool and he lives up to the reputation of being a hard worker. It's been nice to push each other and get lots of work done. We had an incredible day on Saturday where we talked to 31 people and had door step lessons and gave out lots of book of Mormons. It was an exhausting day, but I loved it so much. We have some good appointments set up for this coming week that I'm excited for and some will be with really prepared people, so I'm hoping we can progress with them. Other than that it's been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it, and hobbs is just getting better and better.        The mission has been a huge Rollercoaster these past 18 months. The Magnificent Work Of The Lord

Look who's back      Man what a great conference weekend. I enjoyed this conference so much and it was probably one of the most memorable and enjoyable conference experiences I've had. This was my last time being able to watch conference as a set apart missionary and it just meant a lot to me to hear about the gathering of israel as my mission is coming to a close here in a few short months. I hope yall enjoyed it as well and got spiritually uplifted in the places that you needed to be. I want you guys to pause for a second and brace yourselves for impact. Maybe buckle your seat belts if you will. We're about to talk about an eventful week. Last week I mentioned how we were planning on talking about baptism with a few of our friends. Well we extended invitations to 6 of our friends and they all accepted it! We are going to be baptizing Waldo on the 20th this month (unless I get transfered) and Yvette with her 4 kids on May 11th. TLM (Trenchcoat Loving Mission)

Howdy doodly!      Picture this: We're all having a good time and enjoying life as it goes. Things are going so smooth that it begins to be a little suspicious, and thats when it hit me, that darn trenchcoat. See, last pday my companion and I went thrift shopping with the other missionaries. Unbenounced to me, I would see it. I would come to regret it. The women's trench coat. He buys a women's trench coat and has worn it everyday since. If I didn't know any better I would think he showers, and sleeps in it. I was also given special permission via request, to write about this in today's episode. We were supposed to have a great week with more than 10 lessons, but they all punched through and canceled. Every. Single. One. The same week my companion decides to wear this trenchcoat. Coincidence? I think not. Illuminati confirmed. There must be a spirit attached to it, or maybe a curse, legend has it.
