Homie-less
What's popping homies!?
So this week's been crazy. We had Thanksgiving, (hope yalls was good) transferes, and I'm homeless and a few more things as well so buckle in as per usual. First and foremost, I hope yall are doing well and had the opportunity to be with family and loved ones during the days of holi. It's always a special time to see those that we love and be around their company.
Alright alright I'll get to the good stuff... So we killed elder ili :( My best friend is going to India. We dropped him off on Sunday and I am homeless and homieless. I'm kinda bouncing around from place to place spending the nights at different elders apartments because they are awesome and also because I can't be in my apartment alone. But it's been fun. I'm gonna miss that guy so much we got so close and now he's gone, but he trained me well. My new comp moves in with me on Tuesday. His name is elder Dunn and no one knows much about him so I'm curious to meet him, but it will be fun. But the whole mission got pretty shaken up from transfers so that's always a good time.
I got sooooo fat. I gained 8 pounds this week and most of that wasn't even from Thanksgiving. I finally hit the 200lb club. (Don't worry it's pure muscle) We had some awesome families take care of us and Thanksgiving was really good and I didn't feel homesick at all so thats a plus. A family that is super awesome let us chill at their place and watch football and play call of duty, that was pretty funny but it was a good time. We also had a turkey bowl and I surprisingly scored a handful of touchdowns despite being completely uncoordinated. Guess my grandma was right, all that pickleball that I've been playing is paying off.
Me and elder ili made a cool video that we put together and our Missions Facebook group will probably be posting it soon. We went to the mall and did contacting there, filmed the video and found 2 new people. It's funny because one of them was named Joseph. Seems like the people we meet named Joseph are just elect. But he was super cool and I'm excited to start teaching him and Norman, the other guy we met. They both were really interested and have cool stories as well. It's the perfect season to talk about christ as Christmas is coming up and my creative (probably adhd) brain keeps coming up with awesome ideas and big things to help find people and make mission work more fun. But we taught a couple lessons this week. Sadly not Joseph Gonzales. He's slowly pulling back and we're trying to continue teaching him and being more bold. He's been such a great family to teach so I wouldn't let him just run away.
Well i love you all and always appreciate the support and hearing back from you. I hope you have a great week. I just wanted to end by saying how much ive enjoyed my mission so far. It's taught me so much already and i have noticed a lot of changes and growth already as well. It's definitely had its ups and downs and there's moments where it's so hard to push through knowing that after a bad or hard day, you have to do the same thing tomorrow, but it's been so worth it to push through and keep going. It's been probably the toughest battle I've had yet. And those that know me well know that I've been through some hard stuff. But I've been thrown temptations and curve balls and all kinds of stuff during my mission and I push through because I know that staying will help me become better in the future. Anyways yall take care. Alofa Atu!
