Another Interesting Week
Yo what up?!
First of all, for all of those people who sent me a letter or Christmas gift thank you so much!! I'll have to somehow send a card back. I've also been having a lot of people ask what I want or need for Christmas and I'll post that later. But this week was pretty interesting. I've been sick for 3 days this week so we only worked for 4 days, but man did we work hard. But being that I was sick not much happened.
Me and elder Dunn were trying to sleep and rest so we could feel better one day, and just as we were done with chores and getting settled in, our ceiling starts leaking. I mean this thing was straight up pouring out water like Niagara falls. We had to end up fixing our AC unit and repair some other stuff, but elder Dunn and I, are not meant to be together apparently because we keep having weird things happen to us and he probably thinks I'm insane or bad luck lol. But he's been a good comp so far so thats been good!
The members here are still taking really good care of us. We have a dinner everyday for the next 2 weeks. The prison pizza guy (the hound) wants to feed us prison pizza again so I will let you know how that goes, unless I die from total organ failure. But it's been nice to get close to the members and also not have to worry about food, although I don't have any interesting stories sadly. I'm starting to get my name more recognized in the ward and finally people aren't asking me how long I've been in the ward and are remembering me more which is a good time.
The days that we did go out and work they were really good. I got so tired. My new companion likes to go hard and he pushes me but it's good to get out and stay busy. The other day we taught 7 people back to back and we biked to each one. While biking to each lesson we called other people on the phone to set up more lessons. Let me tell you I thought I was in a triathlon because I was biking, swimming in sweat, and running out of breath. I slept like an absolute rock which is rare for me. Most nights I get maybe a solid 4 hours. But the work has been crazy and good!
My studying and other things have been getting better as well. I had some really good personal studies this week. I love uninterrupted time to study the scriptures and learning more about myself and of course the savior. I have a goal of finishing the book of Mormon by the end of the year so I've been grinding trying to finish it. I've loved the spirit that I've been able to feel and it's been helping the temptations and negative thoughts stay out of my head. I came across this really good talk about listening to the voice and blocking out the adversaries voice, if you want to hear it message me on Facebook and I'll send you the link.
The elders in the city are all having a massive sleep over tonight because we thought it would be fun. I've loved growing some of the strongest relationships ive had out here with the missionaries here. We've really all grown so close like a family. Okay so people have been asking me what I want or need for Christmas, and to be honest I have more than I need so I don't really need anything. But if you want to send me something I wouldn't mind socks or ties or tie clips and actually pokemon cards lol. But again I'm so grateful for everyone who has sent me something so thank you!!!
Well I love you all and hope you have a great week!
