Peanut Butter, Ritz Crackers And Shoe Laces.

Howdy yall!       This week's been a little slow compared to most weeks I've had on my mission. It snowed which slowed things down and also we had no miles to really work with (were only allowed to use so many a month) and we already are about to go over our miles. We did a ton of calling and met some really cool people over the phone and also had some other cool experiences that I will probably get to unless I get distracted or forget. But overall it was a good week!       We started off the week with a bang! We brought a grill down from plainview to Lubbock and cooked burgers for all the missionaries there and also our office and senior missionaries. There was a ton of people there and it was good vibes. Then we all hung out and played games like football and spikeball and basketball and other sports that involve using a ball so that was a good time. We slept over with some elders because we live so far away and we had zone conference in lubbock...

Growth In My Savior

Another great week in the TLM!!       Well guys this week flew by very fast. We had zone conference on Thursday which was such an uplifting and awesome experience and I felt the spirit very strong. We taught some lessons and got really really close with some inactive members and we got them comfortable coming back to church so that was an amazing thing to witness. The work has been going really good and I love this new area that I am in so much. Something about branches are just so special and the love that I feel from the members is amazing.       In Zone Conference we talked a lot about the spirit and the book of mormon and also our sacrifices as missionaries. I have been thinking a ton about my service to the lord. I asked myself, and wrote about this a lot in my journal, If Jesus Christ were to stand in front of me right now and I were to ask him a question, what would I ask? After some thought I concluded that I would ask him, "Have I done en...

Adjusting To Mission Life.

I'm running out of things to say for my intro so hey,       This week's been pretty wild. It started off with a normal p-day and a lot more goodbyes. Tuesday was a terribly long day. I got up at 5am and spent the whole day driving and unpacking and packing and unpacking and packing and more driving. I don't know what I was expecting plainview to look like, but it really lives up to its name. It's just a lot of pretty plain views. This new area is hugggggeeeee. We cover a lot of ground and we have a car now thankfully. There was a lot to get used to at first. Me and my companion are the only missionaries in our area and the nearest ones are about an hour away from us in every direction so thats going to be interesting, luckily me and my comp are getting along very well so it's not too bad. Our new apartment is extremely small. It's basically one big room with beds a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a laundry room and thats it. There's no couch and no where to s...

A Taste Of My Testimony

Image
Howdy!!       This week's been crazy for me in a lot of ways. For the last few weeks I've been predicting that I'll be getting transfered to a new area this transfer. So this last week I assumed it was going to be my last one here in Odessa, so me and elder Dunn put in as much work as we could possible and just grinded so incredibly hard. It turns out I was right. I am getting transfered to plainview Texas and I'll be in the lubbock north zone with Elder Scott. I leave tomorrow morning. I'm so incredibly excited but also very sad to leave such an amazing area. I'll forever remember this area because it was the one that I started my mission in, and will be the foundation area for the rest of my mission. I've made life long friends, grew so much in so many ways, and made awesome memories. I love this area so much even though we've had our ups and downs. But this is very bitter sweet.       The past 2 days we had an amazing opportunity to have a gene...

Happy New Year!!!

Yo whats up yall.       Hey sorry for the late post, but hope yall had a great new year and celebrated as hard as we did! The elders got together again for another sleepover! We had poppers and glasses and sparkling cider and all sorts of fun games and snacks and music and stuff to do. We stayed up til 2am just messing around and having a good time. It felt like college a little bit. But this week was a lot better than last week which is super good. I also had some wack experiences this week as well.        Alright let's not waste any time. My wack story: so we were calling members one night trying to have them give us rides and come to our lessons. We called a couple people and no one was able to. We then called a recently returning member that we've been working with for a few months now because he expressed his desire to come on splits with us so we felt he'd be a good on the fly call. When we called him he was rambling off on something which i...
