Is God Your Priority?
Another week gone by!
Yo whats up yall?! Thanks for all the responses from last email and I'm glad a lot of you are doing good! Puts a smile on my face to see God bless everyone in little ways everyday. My week went by incredibly fast because we were busy, but yet I don't have too much to talk about. So this email might be a little shorter than most. But this week we traveled a lot because our area is so big and our miles reset. We went to Tulia which is a small town about 50 miles away from us, and also Floydada which is around 30 miles away I believe. The time we spent there was very fun and they're both very small towns, I liked the vibe of it because I'm so used to massive cities and suburbs. We met with cool members and some other cool people there as well.
We did 34 hours of service this week. We do a ton of work for this lady named Beverly Wall, who runs a ton of non-profit organizations like food banks and crisis centers and all kinds of stuff. She's the nicest most giving lady ever and we call her grandma because she loves us and gives us money and food and tells us about her grandkids, so it just feels like I know her whole family now by all the stories she shares. But we stay pretty busy doing a lot of work with her and we enjoy it. We taught a lot of new people this week as well. We found someone on Facebook and taught this catholic girl who wants to leave the catholic church but is scared because her parents are very strict in the church and would probably shame her. She felt really comfortable talking to us and we were trying to be there for her and help her, and she said she's been reading the book of Mormon and taking notes! So that will be fun to meet with her again!
Other than that this week was pretty much the same ol stuff. But it's been a great week overall! I can't believe this transfer is coming to a close. I feel like we just started but I guess not. That's how the mission feels too. The time is moving just so fast. I've learned and grown a lot this transfer. I have fallen in love with studying the scriptures. I wake up excited and eager to read every morning and jam out to some study music and just go ham reading. I'm flying through the book of Mormon and D&C and I've been learning so so much the 2nd time around and to me that is insane how much I missed! I also love missionary work. Of course I love what I do, but it's bigger than that. When I see so many members and other people doing things to come closer to God and grow their own testimonies, and share their testimonies with us and they just have so much joy, it's the best thing to watch ever. Seeing other people grow stronger definitely strengthens my testimony.
Anyways yall I'm still alive and well! It's been an incredible journey and I'm glad I can kind of take you with me. Thanks for all the support and all you do! Keep praising the Lord! Yall take care!
