The Week Everything Changed.

Howdy!

Man this week was a great week to end the transfer with. We stayed very busy and had some cool things happen. We got our transfer news on Saturday and no more being the district monkey for me sadly. I will now be a DL (district leader) and greenie breaking an elder named elder Judd. My district grew by a companionship so now I have a pretty big sized district. Also almost every companionship has changed so im going to have to re-learn a whole lot, but it will be a good opportunity for me to grow. Me and my comp elder scott also had to give talks in church and I think my talk went pretty well in my opinion, being that it was my first one as a missionary so you could say thats cool I guess. I've learned a lot from elder scott and I'm sad to see him go because our time together was very short, but he's going to do great things and the lord needs him in a different area.

This week was our busiest one this transfer. Or at least it felt like it. Just yesterday we had 5 lessons, gave a talk, gave a spiritual thought at dinner, and did stop bys and more! We met with 2 MMA fighters that are competing to get into the UFC. They were super down to earth and humble people that both have incredible stories about how they found God and gained a testimony for themselves. One of them became a Christian rapper and also a preacher and he travels around all over the place to perform and to teach. We had a really good Bible study with him and I think he gained a lot of respect for us and what we do. We talked a ton about sacrament and baptism after reading John 3, and he has a really cool look on it which was awesome because we agreed with everything he said and he was surprised cuz he had yet to find another church that agreed with his views. It was really cool to hear about him and what he does and how he applies God in everything. It was very powerful.

We also got to visit someone we are teaching in the hospital, and see their newborn child. This girl is 15 years old and really struggles with a lot, but it was sweet to see her be so happy with her child and to see her wanting to change and grow and be a good mom. Moms play a very important role in life and I'm grateful that mine just happened to be the best. We also did a ton of the usual service that we typically do with Beverly and she is just so good to us, I hope she knows how grateful I am of her. Along with her we helped with a move and also went hunting for someone's lost dog, that was definitely the most interesting service opportunity but I love dogs so I didn't mind, the only sad part was we didn't get to keep it after.

I could go on about my week and it's many lessons but you'd have to just be there for them. I gotta leave some room for the Shaffers again. If you remember my spaghetti dinner story, you'll be happy to hear this. because I'm getting a new elder and especially since he's still new in the mission, we are planning on pranking him as well. I told brother Shaffer to act like a crazy non member again and do the usual shenanigans, but when we walk in I will go to the "bathroom" and he will sit down alone with my companion in a darkly lit room and just stare at him without breaking eye contact and not say anything. My companion from the looks of it is going to be shy so we thought this would be hilarious. If my companion were to talk, he would interrupt with comments like "do you really belive in this Joseph Smith false prophet guy?" Or other bashing comments, and go on a tangent. Then we were going to have dinner, chicken fried rice, and eat it with our hands... Another member will be there too and to add to it she's going to come prepared with a fork to make it look like this is a usual occurrence. Then for dessert they are going to serve a birthday cake with a picture of his face on it and sing happy birthday. (His birthday is in october) And you guessed it, they will eat the cake with their hands as well. There's a lot more details and stuff too but I won't bore you with those, you'll just hear about it next week. I have a few more fun ways to get him out of his shell so it will be a good time.

Anyways y'all, you mean so much to me and I'm grateful for everything. I say that a lot but it's because I mean it. Remember to stay faithful and endure to the end. You never know what's coming. I love yall!!!
