Love One Another.

Hey its me again!

What it do yall? Hope yall had an amazing week. I know I did! This week was very spiritual and very very good. We got a lot done this week and had more lessons and found more people. I did a 3 day fast this weekend and that was probably the most spiritual I have ever felt in my entire life. I took only a little bit of water after 24 hours and reopened my fast for the next 24 hours. I had so much on my mind and so many things that I needed help with, so I made a commitment to fast for as long as I needed, until I get things under control and back into place. Yes I am crazy, thanks for asking! But I've come to love fasting and mighty prayer. I have felt so much more at peace and more in tune with the spirit. It's truly grown me and changed me, and I needed to lose a little bit of weight anyways so it's totally fine! But because of that, I've been able to see the fruits of my labors explode!

So just yesterday we finally had some people come to church. It's hard to convince people to drive 40+ minutes away to come to our church when there's about 40+ churches on the way. But regardless, we managed to get 2 people that we are teaching to come, and also 3 less active people to come. It was a great thing to see. Then we did some tracting out in Seth ward. This place is as ghetto as ghetto can be. We met this guy named James and his wife Tarissa, who were incredible people. We talked about faith and how our bodies are temples and we gave them a book of Mormon. They ate it up like they were starving, and they asked for more, so we're excited to keep meeting with them. We also had more lessons this week with some new friends. It's been good to finally teach again and see people be blessed by this amazing gospel. My companion and I have also been coming up with fun ideas and ways that we can increase our teaching pool and find some more people. We have been grinding this past week with calling people and knocking and street contacting and you name it! We have been super busy and thats been really good for me.

I have been thinking a lot about charity and love the past few weeks. This seems to be a topic that keeps coming up everywhere I go, and I can't escape from it. We were meeting with a new convert this week who dabbled in our faith before, and he shared experiences that he had in the past that turned him away at first. He said that he felt there were many people who made him feel that he wasn't worthy of God's love, that he shouldn't come to church as a sinner and even sit in the same room as the members. They judged him and criticized him because he smoked and drank, and they didnt want to smell that in "their" building. I hope that breaks your heart as much as it does mine. We have to do better, especially members of the church of Jesus christ of latter day saints. We can not preach repentance and the mercy of God, and proceed to judge people trying to find their paths in life. This is just simply hypocritical. We need to be more like the person we represent, and not judge people in anyway shape or form or make negative comments to a person. I can name many scriptures that tell us to love our neighbor, to not judge, to see the beam in your own eye and not the moat in someone else's, and so forth, but I can't name one scripture where it tells us to point out the flaws we see in others or to judge people. That's because God will never at anytime, tell us to criticize and point out the flaws, and correct (try and pick at or change for your liking and pleasure, and not gods) other people. The church isn't a building for the righteous, it's a hospital for the sick. The place for sinners (who all of us are at times because we aren't perfect) to go and repent and try again weekly. So please help God in his work and be a light to this world in helping people find christ, not turning them away and judging them of this world likenhow christ was judged of this world. If you ever have judgmental thoughts or thoughts about criticizing someone else and having/making rude comments, please repent and remember who you represent! Let's make the work easier for God, not harder!

Well this upcoming week I have zone conference so that will be fun and spiritual as always, and we are going to be incredibly busyyyyy, so stay posted! Thanks again for the people who are reaching out and supporting me, I appreciate you all very much. But that's pretty much it from me! It was a great week overall and I hope this week can be great for you. I love yall!
