Whats popping yall?
I fell asleep early last night because I wasn't feeling too good so I didn't write my email, sorry this one's a little late but I haven't missed a week so I can't miss this week. Anyways this week was a lot better than last week. Not much has really changed but I have just been in a really good mood and more motivated, despite the stress and everything else that has been going on. The power of fasting and praying is real! I've been able to push through and come out on top. I worked so hard I think I got a little burnt out and sick so I had to go to sleep, but I woke up feeling better this morning. We finally started seeing the fruits of our labors in plainview! It's known as a slower area but I think it's been slow because missionaries have a bad attitude about it and don't work as hard. We have 3 people on baptismal date in our area now (2 people were put on date this week!) And were teaching a lot of people now. My district is also doing really well and almost every area has people they will be baptizing soon! So we're just thriving and it's all thanks to the great big guy upstairs who's in charge.
So I mentioned that we have 3 people on date, so let's talk about that. Last week we talked about how bradie wants to be baptized sooner than the date we swt and we still haven't gotten a new date, but we had a really good lesson with him where we taught about the commandments and watched the book of Mormon video about Abinadi for the kids that were there. It was good stuff! But we also put Jazmin on date as well! She is part of the family that we smacked each other with tortillas. She's been wanting to get baptized for a while so now we can finally get going on that after seeing paperwork and all this complicated stuff. But she's going to get baptized on her 16th birthday on April 24th! That will be a fun day. We've been teaching her twice a week and just playing games sometimes and building a relationship with their family while also teaching them because the Grandma, and Jazmin's brother are members but they are less active. So thats been fun. Lastly we cannot forget about Naomi. Naomi is 15 years old and really wants to get baptized. She's been meeting with us through zoom every week and she's so awesome. She said that her mom wants her and her sister to be baptized so we're going to start teaching her mom and sister too, so we're just going to dunk the whole family there. That was really cool to hear that. We're also working on Val and going to be talking about baptism with her so stay posted. We're looking pretty good here in the promised land of plainview!
The rest of the week was just us staying busy and doing service or teaching people. There's not really much to talk about so this one's a little short, but at least I wrote lol. I'm so grateful that this week was good, I really needed a good week. It's been great to just get to work and push through the challenging stuff and then see the blessings come out of it. God is good! But anyways thats really all I gotta say! Yall have a good week and I love yall.
