Love

Good morning everyone! 


     Okay so I should have the mailbox fixed now. If you sent me mail and I received it, I sent you a response by email, if you didn't get an email from me then I didn't get your mail. Also be sure to include the apartment number on the address if you are going to send a letter otherwise i might not get it, but it should be working now! I also deleted a lot of pictures because I ran out of storage on my phone so if you want to see the pictures that I take, be sure to join the Google drive attached as a link to the bottom of this email. Now that we got the chores out of the way I can talk about my week. It's been a pretty good week! We were able to find a new person to teach and also get Jimmy to come to church again. We met with a lot of members as well and got to teach a good amount of lessons with people we are teaching. Things are really turning for the better in alpine! 


     I know not every week is not really one to write home about and this week is one of those weeks. We did a lot of service and had exchanges but that was pretty much it. Nothing to really go into detail about or say much about. I have been noticing a lot of growth and changes in myself however. Doing a little bit better each day has been my focus and it's been helping a lot. It's amazing how much the Lord blesses you even if your efforts are\seem small. Sometimes that's all we can give or have the energy to give, and thats definitely been the case here in alpine. It reminds me of the parable of the widows mite. My companion and I have been talking a lot lately about sacrificing our will to his and how that shows our love for him. He really likes that idea and has shared that multiple times since we talked about it. It's been good to see how we're both trying and willing to sacrifice things and our will to allow God to come in and lift us up, it's definitely been blessing this area a lot so I'm grateful. God is good always.

A Good Week

Hey!        It hasn't been that long since we last talked! All is well here in Hobbs America. My new companion elder Hepworth is really cool and he lives up to the reputation of being a hard worker. It's been nice to push each other and get lots of work done. We had an incredible day on Saturday where we talked to 31 people and had door step lessons and gave out lots of book of Mormons. It was an exhausting day, but I loved it so much. We have some good appointments set up for this coming week that I'm excited for and some will be with really prepared people, so I'm hoping we can progress with them. Other than that it's been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it, and hobbs is just getting better and better.        The mission has been a huge Rollercoaster these past 18 months. The Magnificent Work Of The Lord

Look who's back      Man what a great conference weekend. I enjoyed this conference so much and it was probably one of the most memorable and enjoyable conference experiences I've had. This was my last time being able to watch conference as a set apart missionary and it just meant a lot to me to hear about the gathering of israel as my mission is coming to a close here in a few short months. I hope yall enjoyed it as well and got spiritually uplifted in the places that you needed to be. I want you guys to pause for a second and brace yourselves for impact. Maybe buckle your seat belts if you will. We're about to talk about an eventful week. Last week I mentioned how we were planning on talking about baptism with a few of our friends. Well we extended invitations to 6 of our friends and they all accepted it! We are going to be baptizing Waldo on the 20th this month (unless I get transfered) and Yvette with her 4 kids on May 11th. TLM (Trenchcoat Loving Mission)

Howdy doodly!      Picture this: We're all having a good time and enjoying life as it goes. Things are going so smooth that it begins to be a little suspicious, and thats when it hit me, that darn trenchcoat. See, last pday my companion and I went thrift shopping with the other missionaries. Unbenounced to me, I would see it. I would come to regret it. The women's trench coat. He buys a women's trench coat and has worn it everyday since. If I didn't know any better I would think he showers, and sleeps in it. I was also given special permission via request, to write about this in today's episode. We were supposed to have a great week with more than 10 lessons, but they all punched through and canceled. Every. Single. One. The same week my companion decides to wear this trenchcoat. Coincidence? I think not. Illuminati confirmed. There must be a spirit attached to it, or maybe a curse, legend has it.
