There Can Be Miracles
Oh you thought I wasn't going to write an email today huh!? I haven't missed a week in my mission yet.
Well this week has been a great week let me tell you. We found 5 new people that we are teaching and meeting with, and we got 4 people to church. 2 of the 4 people we had to have members take them and they were willing so it was awesome! One of the guys that came (named will) has medical problems and he had to have paramedics come put him on a stretcher and take all these test. He had low blood sugar because of diabetes, and he was so excited to come to church he skipped breakfast. Luckily our members were good with him and took care of him, and also it was during second hour. It was a wild experience but im glad that he's all good. He's super cool though. When we were meeting with him he loved what we shared, and when we went back he asked if he could get baptized. So we told him to come to church and he did! His caretaker who we haven't met before, was taught by missionaries a long time ago and it was his first time coming to our church. It was kind of a miracle how that all played out, because now we have a way to meet with him and get those lessons pumping again.
My companion and I started a sports night on Monday nights and it was a great success. We just got home from playing some basketball, and man my body is all torn up and I'm feeling it already, but I had a lot of fun playing with some cool people and some other missionaries as well. We got even more people to come next time and were also going to play some different sports with them as well. Its been a fun way to find people and it seems like it will have lots of success in the future as more and more people hear about it. This week we also had a ward talent show, and I got all the missionaries to come join us for it and even convinced then to sing Taylor swift for our members. It was hilarious, and on Sunday everyone was telling us that they enjoyed our show. I'm really liking the ward, and they seem to be reciprocating that which is awesome. We heard sad news that on the 12th next month, they're splitting our ward and another ward to make the abilene 4th ward. It's going to be sad because we loose a lot of really cool members, but now we get to go to sacrament twice on Sundays so we will still see them.
Other than that I've just been outside enjoying the weather and finding people. My hands are hurting from knocking which Is a good feeling. We've taught a good amount of lessons this week, and it just makes me so happy to be a missionary again. I hope yall had a good day and a good week. Thanks for all the support and everything that you do.
