I Think I'm In Love

Howdy doodley 


      Gotcha! Don't mind the title it has nothing to do with anything. I've been staying pretty busy, which has been nice, but it's putting strain on my body. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my body is pretty jacked up. I woke up one morning, started stretching, and my chest caved in and now I have to get my ribs adjusted to pop the peice in my chest back out, but no one here can do it. I'm slowly falling apart, but I only have 8 more months so I can push through. Just keep me in your prayers. But regardless of being brittle, my week was really good. We had a couple of really good first lessons with some new people. Emmanuel and Desmond. Emmanuel was really interested in what we were teaching him about the book of mormon and just kept asking more and more questions trying to juice it all out. We invited him to read the book of mormon and he said he would. Desmond we also had a really good first lesson with. He is looking for a church and he just moved here from Africa. So lots of good stuff going on here. But we've taught our normal people, and have been doing a lot of tracting and knocking. 


     We just had our ward split yesterday, and now we cover 2 wards. We meet at 10:30 for the Chimney Rock ward, and 2pm for Fort Phantom ward. I'm not sure how that's really going to work out, but I'm excited. It's going to be a complicated adjustment, but I can take it. Our new boundaries are kind of crazy. Our current area we lost pretty much all the people were teaching and all our awesome members, but it grew a lot. Its sad because now we have to pass off Emmanuel and Desmond and all the people we are currently teaching to the elders in the area that they are apart of. The wards went crazy and everyone's been kind of freaking out about it, so it's been a little bit of a mess. 


      Other than that everything is doing good. Areas good. People here are good. Companions are good. Missionaries around me are good. District is doing good. Not much to complain about, I'm grateful.

A Good Week

Hey!        It hasn't been that long since we last talked! All is well here in Hobbs America. My new companion elder Hepworth is really cool and he lives up to the reputation of being a hard worker. It's been nice to push each other and get lots of work done. We had an incredible day on Saturday where we talked to 31 people and had door step lessons and gave out lots of book of Mormons. It was an exhausting day, but I loved it so much. We have some good appointments set up for this coming week that I'm excited for and some will be with really prepared people, so I'm hoping we can progress with them. Other than that it's been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it, and hobbs is just getting better and better.        The mission has been a huge Rollercoaster these past 18 months. The Magnificent Work Of The Lord

Look who's back      Man what a great conference weekend. I enjoyed this conference so much and it was probably one of the most memorable and enjoyable conference experiences I've had. This was my last time being able to watch conference as a set apart missionary and it just meant a lot to me to hear about the gathering of israel as my mission is coming to a close here in a few short months. I hope yall enjoyed it as well and got spiritually uplifted in the places that you needed to be. I want you guys to pause for a second and brace yourselves for impact. Maybe buckle your seat belts if you will. We're about to talk about an eventful week. Last week I mentioned how we were planning on talking about baptism with a few of our friends. Well we extended invitations to 6 of our friends and they all accepted it! We are going to be baptizing Waldo on the 20th this month (unless I get transfered) and Yvette with her 4 kids on May 11th. TLM (Trenchcoat Loving Mission)

Howdy doodly!      Picture this: We're all having a good time and enjoying life as it goes. Things are going so smooth that it begins to be a little suspicious, and thats when it hit me, that darn trenchcoat. See, last pday my companion and I went thrift shopping with the other missionaries. Unbenounced to me, I would see it. I would come to regret it. The women's trench coat. He buys a women's trench coat and has worn it everyday since. If I didn't know any better I would think he showers, and sleeps in it. I was also given special permission via request, to write about this in today's episode. We were supposed to have a great week with more than 10 lessons, but they all punched through and canceled. Every. Single. One. The same week my companion decides to wear this trenchcoat. Coincidence? I think not. Illuminati confirmed. There must be a spirit attached to it, or maybe a curse, legend has it.
