So Long Abilene

What's up cuties!? 


     Well you read it. I got my transfer news. I'm leaving Abilene and I'm headed to Hobbs New Mexico! My new companion is elder Nichols. I have no idea what to think or expect, and I've kind of become numb to change and to transfers at this point, but I think it will be good. This has been the shortest I've stayed in any of my areas so it's a little weird to leave after 2 transfers. That's usually when I'm adjusted and ready to start going ham, but now I get to experince something new which I'm always excited to do. I've enjoyed my time here and I'm ready for what awaits. 


     I'm just starting to feel better after being sick since Monday. In fact I probably pushed a little too hard today, because I was so excited to finally be able to work and get out of the apartment. We had a bunch of goodbyes, and they gave us so many treats and just spoiled us with meals and all kinds of goodies. By the time we got to our dinner appointment, I felt awful. I finished my meal and the dessert and they kept telling us to eat more. I had to excuse myself to use the bathroom and when I got in there I threw up my organs. It was so bad. It was like the flood gates were opened and I just kept going. But I think whatever was making me sick is very long gone and chilling somewhere in the sewers with the ninja turtles. 


     Some spotlight things that happened this week: some little kid was pointing at me and said "that kids a hooker!" I don't know how he knew me so well, but that kid has some super powers, lemme tell ya. While taking pictures and saying goodbye to a member, he was joking around and accidently kissed me, so that's pretty cool. I had a bunch of ladies hit on me and I had to remind them that I'm only 20. (Abilene women really find me attractive apparently. This is like a daily occurrence, but they got me feeling confident in myself.) I battled a little kid in the Pokémon card game and made him cry. (Its okay I bought him a deck and let him win the next time. He actually ended up buying me a few cards too so I don't feel bad.) And that's about it for the spotlights. 


     Anyways yall, thanks so much for everything. I'm a broken record and say this a lot, but thanks for real. Also, if you're going to send packages my new address will be posted below! But I hope yall have a great week and I'll talk to you later!

A Good Week

Hey!        It hasn't been that long since we last talked! All is well here in Hobbs America. My new companion elder Hepworth is really cool and he lives up to the reputation of being a hard worker. It's been nice to push each other and get lots of work done. We had an incredible day on Saturday where we talked to 31 people and had door step lessons and gave out lots of book of Mormons. It was an exhausting day, but I loved it so much. We have some good appointments set up for this coming week that I'm excited for and some will be with really prepared people, so I'm hoping we can progress with them. Other than that it's been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it, and hobbs is just getting better and better.        The mission has been a huge Rollercoaster these past 18 months. It's amazing how big the highs are and how hard the lows are, but they are good teaching moments that I'm grateful for. I've gotten out of that wired rut of feeling like...

The Magnificent Work Of The Lord

Look who's back      Man what a great conference weekend. I enjoyed this conference so much and it was probably one of the most memorable and enjoyable conference experiences I've had. This was my last time being able to watch conference as a set apart missionary and it just meant a lot to me to hear about the gathering of israel as my mission is coming to a close here in a few short months. I hope yall enjoyed it as well and got spiritually uplifted in the places that you needed to be. I want you guys to pause for a second and brace yourselves for impact. Maybe buckle your seat belts if you will. We're about to talk about an eventful week. Last week I mentioned how we were planning on talking about baptism with a few of our friends. Well we extended invitations to 6 of our friends and they all accepted it! We are going to be baptizing Waldo on the 20th this month (unless I get transfered) and Yvette with her 4 kids on May 11th. TLM (Trenchcoat Loving Mission)

Howdy doodly!      Picture this: We're all having a good time and enjoying life as it goes. Things are going so smooth that it begins to be a little suspicious, and thats when it hit me, that darn trenchcoat. See, last pday my companion and I went thrift shopping with the other missionaries. Unbenounced to me, I would see it. I would come to regret it. The women's trench coat. He buys a women's trench coat and has worn it everyday since. If I didn't know any better I would think he showers, and sleeps in it. I was also given special permission via request, to write about this in today's episode. We were supposed to have a great week with more than 10 lessons, but they all punched through and canceled. Every. Single. One. The same week my companion decides to wear this trenchcoat. Coincidence? I think not. Illuminati confirmed. There must be a spirit attached to it, or maybe a curse, legend has it.
