Pday Blues

Hey cuties!

Hope yall are doing well. Its been a week I'll tell ya that. We found 11 new people to teach, taught a number of lessons, had multiple lessons fall through, and lost motivation near the end of the week. We were supposed to have lots of lessons because we had a bunch setup which has been nice, but just about every single one ended up not happening due to people's list of issues. While that was hard and a little frustrating, we were able to push through and continue working and found 11 people. It was amazing to see how God put us in places where we'd find people who were prepared and ready to hear the gospel. Overall I'm loving hobbs and enjoying my time serving here. I really struggled with this area at first due to how little people and work there was, but now it's easily the busiest area I've had in my mission and the district is awesome and the ward is great.

The coolest thing that happened to me this week was with kennede. She's been in a few previous entry's. She's been struggling with her place in the church and was very anti for a while but she loves the missionaries so we'd go over at least once a week. Over time she started expressing more and more interest in the church and making small steps and trying to find her testimony again. (She was baptized about 2 years ago) Well just last night she called us and was crying. She recieved a spiritual witness that the book of mormon is true, the church of jesus christ of latterday saints is true, and she belongs in this church. It was monumental and very cool to see her come back to the fold. She got me a cool necklace with a scripture I invited her to read that she said changed her life. It's just so cool to see her journey and see it all pay off after so many struggles. I also will be coming back to my mission in 6 years to baptize her daughter by her request.

Tomorrow is zone conference and I'm looking forward to that because it hypes me up for the rest of the week and keeps the fire going. We're spending yhe night at the mission home tonight which is super fun. But that's really it from your boy elder Jenkins! I hope you guys have an incredible week.
