Elder Schmutz Vs The TLM

What's up guys!?


     So today is actually my pday, kind of changed last minute so I'm sorry for those of you who woke up in a cold sweat cuz I didn't have my email sent out yesterday. They moved our pday to today because they had a mandatory meeting in lubbock with the entire mission yesterday, and Elder Schmutz came in and had to lay down the law for some course correction. Without going into too much detail, our mission had to send home lots of missionaries very abruptly and they had to address the situation as soon as possible and also make sure that our mission focuses more on obedience and our purpose of being out here. It was a very confrontational meeting but also very uplifting. 


     As for this week, it was very busy and crazy with transfers and with finishing up our time as a trio. We had to go back and forth to lubbock on Friday and then up again yesterday so we've spent many hours in the car and I'm sick of lubbock now haha. We've found 6 people since my last entry on Thursday, and we have had lots of lessons. We met this cool family who invited us to have a bible study with them and they were actually super nice. We ate pizza with them and talked with them for a while and then we read scriptures. We got to share a lot about the book of mormon with them and they invited us back for next week, so now we will be having a weekly game night, dinner, and scripture read with this family. The rest of the week we just spent tracting and setting up lessons for this upcoming week. We have about 22 lessons lined up for this week if they go through, and lots of other things to keep us busy so it's going to be a good week. 


     That's pretty much it. Just the normal shenanigans in the TLM and working hard. Can't complain. Hope yall have a killer week and can find miracles in your week. Love you guys!

A Good Week

Hey!        It hasn't been that long since we last talked! All is well here in Hobbs America. My new companion elder Hepworth is really cool and he lives up to the reputation of being a hard worker. It's been nice to push each other and get lots of work done. We had an incredible day on Saturday where we talked to 31 people and had door step lessons and gave out lots of book of Mormons. It was an exhausting day, but I loved it so much. We have some good appointments set up for this coming week that I'm excited for and some will be with really prepared people, so I'm hoping we can progress with them. Other than that it's been amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it, and hobbs is just getting better and better.        The mission has been a huge Rollercoaster these past 18 months. The Magnificent Work Of The Lord

Look who's back      Man what a great conference weekend. I enjoyed this conference so much and it was probably one of the most memorable and enjoyable conference experiences I've had. This was my last time being able to watch conference as a set apart missionary and it just meant a lot to me to hear about the gathering of israel as my mission is coming to a close here in a few short months. I hope yall enjoyed it as well and got spiritually uplifted in the places that you needed to be. I want you guys to pause for a second and brace yourselves for impact. Maybe buckle your seat belts if you will. We're about to talk about an eventful week. Last week I mentioned how we were planning on talking about baptism with a few of our friends. Well we extended invitations to 6 of our friends and they all accepted it! We are going to be baptizing Waldo on the 20th this month (unless I get transfered) and Yvette with her 4 kids on May 11th. TLM (Trenchcoat Loving Mission)

Howdy doodly!      Picture this: We're all having a good time and enjoying life as it goes. Things are going so smooth that it begins to be a little suspicious, and thats when it hit me, that darn trenchcoat. See, last pday my companion and I went thrift shopping with the other missionaries. Unbenounced to me, I would see it. I would come to regret it. The women's trench coat. He buys a women's trench coat and has worn it everyday since. If I didn't know any better I would think he showers, and sleeps in it. I was also given special permission via request, to write about this in today's episode. We were supposed to have a great week with more than 10 lessons, but they all punched through and canceled. Every. Single. One. The same week my companion decides to wear this trenchcoat. Coincidence? I think not. Illuminati confirmed. There must be a spirit attached to it, or maybe a curse, legend has it.
