The Beginning To The End

Hey guys!

Today is my pday! I forgot to mention that in last week's email. Lately writing emails has felt like a burden because it's been so busy but yet I have nothing to report back, and I've been sending weekly updates for 2 years now so they get a little mundane and repetitive to write, but I still write them so you guys know that I'm still alive, somehow. This week is transfers and I got news that im being deported back to Texas and being shipped to a place called Borger. Ever heard of it? Well neither has anyone else. My honest thoughts are I don't care where I go or who my comp is because I only have less than 6 weeks left, but I'm excited to finish in my last area and finish strong. I'm trying to go into this transfer and area as if it were my very first transfer ever. To have the excitement for the work again. To have the excitement of being a missionary and just wanting to teach and preach. To leave it all out on the feild and return with honor. I think it's the only way to go about it. I'm excited that I get to finish in an unfamiliar area because I have absolutely no fear of anything as it is, but I can really just be super bold and throw it down Holland style without any fear of opinion or opposition because I go home soon after. Overall I'm looking forward to it.

Yesterday was probably the busiest day I've had here in Hobbs. It was amazing. We had lessons back to back all day and tons of service to fill up the smaller gaps of time. I'm satisfied with the work that I did here and I'm happy that the next missionary can come into an area that has work and pick up where I left off. We ran into this guy named Lee when we were tracting and he expressed that he knew God was listening to him because just the night before he was praying for God to send him a messenger or someone to help him learn about God and the next day he got more than he asked. He got 2 messengers. It was a huge testimony builder for us to hear that, and hear that we were a part of someone's miracle. We've just been seeing the fruits of our labors and its been so rewarding.

      Goodbye Hobbs

Hobbs has been such an amazing area for me. I remember coming into this area ready to work and when I got here I realized that this area needed it bad. The apartment was an absolute trash pit and it looked as if it hasn't ever been cleaned. It was caked in filth. To make matters worse, it was hard to find a reason to get out of the apartment because of the lack of people to work with due to the lack of care put into spreading the gospel and doing the work by previous missionaries. I think God wants me to be a janitor with how many times I've had to do clean up work to an area. Things started off really rough. The work was painfully slow, my comp was always sick, and the city was sketchy and new to me. After hours of knocking doors and exhausting all ideas, we finally started building a teaching pool, and now we have lots of people we are working with. Hobbs has taught me to never give up, work hard, and be persistent. Pray like it all depends on God, and work like it all depends on you. I'm so grateful for this area and all that it has taught me. I wokt go as far as to say it's my favorite cuz that would be blasphemous, but it might be a close second. Can't forget to mention the friends I've made here. They have truly been a huge blessing.

Hope yall have a great day and take care!
