Boot Camp

What's popping!?

The weeks are getting harder and my time is getting shorter. I'm trying to stay focused and work my butt off and it seems like Satan is throwing everything in my way to get me to stop or to lose attention on what's really important. I got sick for 2 days this week, and of course they were days we actually had back to back lessons that we finally were able to setup after weeks of nothing. The mental battle of waking up knowing that you're going to have to put all your energy into knocking doors all day until your arms fall off is exhausting, and even more so is the lack of reception that comes from it. Regardless of all the hardships and trials, I love it. This is why I came out on a mission. I didn't know what I was signing up for exactly when I did, but I willingly signed up for everything and anything that was going to come my way. I have never seen myself grow as much in my life as I have while being a missionary. The unique life experinces and skills learned to navigate them are going to benefit me for life and can become morals and things that I will cherish and want to teach to others, including my future kids. I was talking to someone on a door approach the other day and they asked me what I had to sacrifice to do what I do. I told them everything. They asked me if it was worth it. I told them I would give up my life if it meant that another could be saved, and thats the truth. There is nothing more precious, nothing worth more, than a personal relationship with God, and a journey of following the plan he has for you. I wouldn't trade what I learned for the world.

This upcoming week we dont have much to look forward to. Our calander is just crammed with tracting all day everyday. We don't have anyone that is really solid yet but I know there's people being prepared for us and we just got to find them. I guess one thing to look forward to is my birthday, but to me it's just another day. I've never been one to really care about my birthday or make it a big deal, so you know this week is going to be rough when I'm actually thinking about it. I'm boutta be old enough to legally purchase alcohol so that's pretty fantastic! I love how the older you get the more sins you can legally acquire. Now I'll ease your minds because I feel that some people fear that im dumb enough to actually do something like that, so let me say that I will not be purchasing or drinking alcohol. Now guns might be a different story, but I promised myself I'd wait til I'm home.

Here's some quote highlights from the week:

• "Good Goobly goo, you can kiss my wife anytime." -Kelly Watson (basically was fan boying over me)
• "I didn't know your hair was curly. Curls for the girls, elder?" -my companion
• "If you get pulled over might as well tell the officer to take you to jail, youre not putting your hands on my new car!" -Kelly Watson to his wife.
• "Hes going to have a hot wife and retarded children." -kelly Watson talking about me
• "so, I hear you're a mission legend" -bro Hansen (kid cuts him off) "And stupid" (gotta love kids)

Well that's pretty much it. Also I've been having mail problems lately, not really sure what's going on there. I'm getting some people's things but not others so idk what to do about that, so if your stuff isn't delivering like it's supposed to that's the situation, I cant do much about it. I hope yall have a fantastic week and yall stay cute!
