Where's Waldo?

Image
Hey gang!       Hope yall had a great week! I know I did. (For the most part) Just wanna say a huge thank you to those who respond to my emails or write to me even after my lack of responses, I read them all and appreciate every single one. Honestly this week was a fever dream, or for all my old folks who aren't up to date with the lingo, a blur. A lot happened but at the same time not. We're slowly continuing to have more setup lessons, but again they are all falling through and we aren't meeting with the people who say they can. We've had a lot of lessons and some pretty solid ones too. We talked about baptism with our friend Waldo and he really wants to be ready for it, so that's amazing! We also brought up baptism to Yvettes family and all of her kids would like to be baptised too! All 6 of them including her. So we're going to focus on setting up a date and time to get everyone dunked! I hope that I get to stay and watch this area continue to grow. When I f...

Pday Blues

Hey cuties!        Hope yall are doing well. Its been a week I'll tell ya that. We found 11 new people to teach, taught a number of lessons, had multiple lessons fall through, and lost motivation near the end of the week. We were supposed to have lots of lessons because we had a bunch setup which has been nice, but just about every single one ended up not happening due to people's list of issues. While that was hard and a little frustrating, we were able to push through and continue working and found 11 people. It was amazing to see how God put us in places where we'd find people who were prepared and ready to hear the gospel. Overall I'm loving hobbs and enjoying my time serving here. I really struggled with this area at first due to how little people and work there was, but now it's easily the busiest area I've had in my mission and the district is awesome and the ward is great.        The coolest thing that happened to me this week was with ken...

I Swear I'm A Polygamist

What's up gang?         No I'm not a polygamist, I just had no idea what to put for the title of my email so I went with the funniest quote of the week. It hasn't been long since our last time we talked so there ain't gonna be much, but we had some good productive days. We've been super busy which has been amazing. The last two transfers I've been stuck in this super weird rut where I was kind of freaking out about going home, I'm exhausted and it's hard to find motivation to do the same thing in a different area over and over again, and all other kinds of mixed emotions and feelings, but now I'm super excited to still be here in Hobbs and to be serving with Elder Anderson. I served around my current companion in my previous area of Abilene, so getting to know him was super easy and we already get along well. I can tell it's going to be a really really good transfer. Our teaching pool is a little over 40 people but we only meet with about 8 consi...

What A Week It's Been

Hola nachos!       I can't believe this week was real. It has truly been one of the most chaotic weeks of my mission. My companion elder Hepworth got his visa and left for Africa on Tuesday so I have a temporary comp until Friday. We were on exchanges when we recieved the news and it was a lot of trying to get things figured out of how I can still work in my area while he's gone without having to trio with Spanish or something else, becasue our area has been doing insane. We found 16 people this week so far and the week ends on Sunday so there's still potential to find more. We've been reaching tons of lessons each day and met some of the coolest people ever. It's been so awesome to see God's hand in it all and see him put us in a path to meet some incredible people. I'm pretty confident that we are going to put someone on baptismal date cuz now we have a lot of people progressing.       So Friday is transfers and I'm getting a new companion. His ...
