I'm Not Crazy

Good morning everybody!       Man this week flew by fast. I don't know if it's just me that feels that way but I can't believe how fast it went by. We didn't have as much success this week as last, but that's totally okay. Were getting things lined up to have a pretty good upcoming week. We had a couple lessons and we got Donald to church again. In church a speaker was talking about mental health and how depression has been something that's been keeping her away from the spirit and having those connections, and she did all these studies and found out that it's totally okay. She bore her testimony on not giving up and losing faith and it was really good, but Lisa (the lady who showed me her butt in a previous email) got up and just started clapping and cheering and it was awkward but also cool to see that she felt that connection. Donald thought she was just downright insane so patching that up was an experience. But he said that he thinks he found the church...

There Can Be Miracles

Oh you thought I wasn't going to write an email today huh!? I haven't missed a week in my mission yet.       Well this week has been a great week let me tell you. We found 5 new people that we are teaching and meeting with, and we got 4 people to church. 2 of the 4 people we had to have members take them and they were willing so it was awesome! One of the guys that came (named will) has medical problems and he had to have paramedics come put him on a stretcher and take all these test. He had low blood sugar because of diabetes, and he was so excited to come to church he skipped breakfast. Luckily our members were good with him and took care of him, and also it was during second hour. It was a wild experience but im glad that he's all good. He's super cool though. When we were meeting with him he loved what we shared, and when we went back he asked if he could get baptized. So we told him to come to church and he did! His caretaker who we haven't met before, was taug...

Howdy yall!       Sorry I fell asleep last night without writing my email so this one's a little late. This week's been pretty eventful so buckle up! We had exchanges with the ZLs on Tuesday and it was fun because I got to be with elder Dunn again, a comp I had in my 3rd transfer in the mission. It was nice to catch up on old times and talk about the area we served in together and how much we've seen each other grow. It was like we picked things up right where we left them, so it's been fun to serve around that kid again. On Thursday we had zone conference and this one was really good. The way it was structured I was a fan of, and it didn't feel like we were being drilled with information. It was about finding people and basically just strengthening the basics which I really enjoyed because if you simplify your teachings and break it down, you're a better teacher. Lots of people over complicate the gospel when we should really just make it simple because it is. ...

Busy Busy Busy

Howdy!       Man this week just flew by. I've been so incredibly busy and it's been the greatest thing ever. The hardest part about Alpine was there was way too much downtime and thats when thoughts and temptations come in. Here in Abilene I'm so busy I have no time to really think about myself which is good for the most part. We've taught so many people it would take up the whole email to list them and talk about them all. We focused heavily on getting our friends to watch general conference and also to search the scriptures. I lost count, but I think we gave out at least 2 book of Mormons this week, and were able to testify of its truthfulness. Abilene is known to have the most churches per capita in all of America (I'm pretty sure, someone fact check that) or at least thats what everyone here says, so it's hard to get people on board with the book of Mormon. There's lots of people who respect what we do for knocking doors and preaching the word, but don...
